Harry Redknapp's men triumphed the last time they came here and face a side that have won just one of their past five league fixtures. Saying that, Villa sit just once place and three points behind Spurs and could be boosted by the inclusion of Stewart Downing, who looks set to make his...

A while ago, Spurs were humbled by Arsenal at the Emirates through a three-goal and several-sitter schooling, mostly led by Van Persie and Fabregas, who made a world-class darting run through three sleepy Spurs defenders and then calmly finished the job with a curled shot around Gomes. The straight forward tug of war between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United over Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov became more complicated on the last day of the transfer window, with Manchester City and Real Madrid both reportedly lodging formal offers for the Bulgarian International. Premier League debutantes Hull City were left deflated last night after main transfer target Fraizer Campbell was caught up in the Dimitar Berbatov saga and ended up being transferred to Tottenham Hotspur on loan as part of the deal that took the Bulgarian to Old Trafford for £30.75million. Tigers boss Phil Brown, was reportedly led to believe that once United had secured the capture of Berbatov from White Hart Lane, Campbell would leave for the KC Stadium in a reported £7million move. Which would have smashed the club record. However, with local rivals Manchester City threatening to hijack the Berbatov switch after they had ... Read Full Story

Hull City chairman Paul Duffen has joined Tottenham Hotspur boss boss Juande Ramos in calling for changes in the transfer system. Duffen has demanded a change to the way the Premier League operates the transfer window, having missed out on Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell, who left Old Trafford for White Hart Lane as part of the Dimitar Berbatov deal. Duffen told BBC Look North: “I, like most people, think that the window is a completely artificial device. “It doesn't do anything productive for football. It leads to over-inflated prices being paid on the last day. “The sooner we get away from it the ... Read Full Story
