The Touro Synagogue was barely 25 years old when George Washington offered a vision of religious tolerance in a letter he sent its congregants. Kim and I took a last minute trip up to Newport Rhode Island Sunday and booked a trip with 12 Meter charters. We were pleasantly welcome by Meredith who we booked the sailing tour with. We were then taken out to the ship via water taxi and sailed out into the harbor on one of the most beautiful days this year. Dan Hartzer, musical director for the Ralph Zarnow orchestra, invited Dondino to sing at a special anniversary event for the members of the El Beth Jacobs Synagogue, Des Moines, Iowa. Michael Libbie and his wife Georgie were instrumental in bringing over 40 Synagogue members to Dondino's Christmas Show.
