After the usual long build-up - anouncement of additional model, announcement of final testing, announcement of start of pre-production - Toyota Australia has finally unveiled the production Camry Hybrid, billed as the country's most fuel-efficient locally built car, at an event at its Altona manufacturing plant in Melbourne, Victoria state.  

Toyota Motor Corp. unveiled on Monday the plug-in version of the latest Prius gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle with extended range when it runs on electricity. It says it will start selling the plug-in hybrid at home and abroad in two years.  

The more expensive and feature-laden Nissan Maxima is out of place compared to the other cars listed here. Nissan’s Altima sedan is more in line with the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord as far as pricing and feature content. Among V-6 models of the Camry, Accord and Altima, all are refined offerings but have individual characteristics.
