Activision announced that the story behind their upcoming non-movie based game, Transformers: War for Cybertron, is an origins story about the civil war that breaks out between the Decepticons and the Autobots.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has finally been released in Japan. As part of the inserts is news that Transformers: Animated is coming to the country as their next toy line starting March 2010 and I assume translated cartoons will start airing at some point. Their name for the toy line has not been revealed. I expect they will get all versions of the toys that were released stateside with Tomy Takara adding their own additions as they...  

The folks who came up with the KINGK N99 phone in China must certainly be fans of the Transformers series. Why else would you put the Autobot logo on your product? Of course, there’s also a Nokia logo on the phone, proving that if the Transformers decided to masquerade as phones (instead of vehicles), they’d choose Nokia. The round display on the phone is certainly something you don’t see everybody, though it does remind you of the Motorola...

The Arker has posted the first images indicating that Legends class Devastator is getting a stateside visit. The images below show the toy in its package with the Hasbro logo in the bottom right corner. No indication of release date, price, and if exclusive or not. To me the curved packaging and the silver naming along the top looks very similar to previous Target Transformers exclusives. (via TFW2005)Update: From the comments, click here...

by: John YanNEWS - Here's the debut trailer for Transformers: War for Cybertron. The game looks like it's going back to the blocky style of robots, which I like and it sounds like it takes place before the battle comes to Earth. I kind of dig the updated transforming sound when Optimus Prime flies through the air and takes down a few missiles. And is it just me or does that one big robot at the end remind you of Omega Supreme?  

Call me crazy, but the updated helmet for the recently-announced "Dead Space 2" looks a heck of a lot like someone who might disapprove of the Autobots in every shape and form (including truck). Yes, everyone's favorite raspy-voiced villain, Megatron, seems to have inspired the hero's helmet, since the two have the exact same shape [...]
