Travis Henry, seen here not creating more children. Travis Henry was a bust on the field, but off the field he's been extremely active. The former running back has 11 kids with 10 different mothers. That's a whole lotta procreating. He's currently in jail due to missed child support payments, which total $17,000 a month. The New York Times reports: This was no simple task. Henry, 30, a former N.F.L. running back who played for three teams from 2001 to 2007, has nine children — each by a different mother, some born as closely as a few months apart. I know this news is a bit dated this afternoon but we've had so many laughs at Travis Henry's expense that I figured we need to post something about his release. The Broncos opened a team minicamp today at Dove Valley, and the roster was updated this morning without the seven-year pro. Said Shanahan in a release: "We did not feel his commitment to the Broncos was enough to warrant a spot on this football team." It will never cease to amaze me the ... Read Full Story

A highly-placed NFL source says former Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry has tested positive again for marijuana according to Fox 31 in Denver. That information came from the same highly-placed NFL source that broke news of failed drug tests by both Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams and Henry to FOX 31 in the past. “He is coming up for a year suspension,” the source said. This is the second time Henry is facing a possible one-year suspension from the NFL. On December 4, 2007, the 29-year-old Henry successfully appealed a previous positive marijuana test result of 21 nanograms/milliliter. Henry’s attorneys demonstrated a ... Read Full Story

Running back Travis Henry has only been with the Denver Broncos for one season, and they're already letting him go. The Broncos released Henry today, saying his commitment to the team was in question. Henry was signed to Denver last season with a five-year $22.5 million contract. In September he failed a test for marijuana and was told he would be suspended for a year. But the punishment was overturned after Henry challenged the test, and won. Still, the Broncos doubted his commitment. In a written statement, coach Mike Shanahan said, "We did not feel his commitment to the Broncos was enough to warrant ... Read Full Story
Opposing defenses beware: Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans is a running back to be taken very seriously. Due largely to the stellar performance of Johnson, the Titans earned their second win of the season, prevailing 34-27 over the San Fransisco 49ers at Candlestick Park, Sunday afternoon. Johnson's 25-carry, 135-yard effort on Sunday was peppered with highlight reel moments as he cut, weaved, and utterly outran the Niners defenders...

Q: How important is it to grind it out against the Patriots who are going to come out and look to establish their dominance in this game?
