The New England Patriots are trying to overcome their inconsistency. For the Tennessee Titans, a little inconsistency would be welcome. The Titans have done nothing but lose all season. At 0-5, they already have two more losses than all of last year when their 13-3 record was the NFL's best. And they've lost their last two games by 20 and 22 points.  

The Tennessee Titans will be without both starting cornerbacks against the New England Patriots after changing Cortland Finnegan's status from questionable to out. The team announced the change on Saturday. Finnegan had been listed as questionable on Friday after missing three straight days of practice.  

The Tennessee Titans can only hope this is rock bottom. The Titans fell to 0-6 in record-setting fashion Sunday, losing 59-0 to the New England Patriots to match the biggest margin of defeat in the league since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. It was the worst loss in franchise history, and the biggest win for New England since the Patriots and former Houston Oilers helped form the AFL in 1960.  

Titans coach Jeff Fisher's attempt at levity and a bit of humor by donning Peyton Manning's No. 18 jersey at a charity fundraiser isn't being received well by fans upset over Tennessee's 0-6 start. The NFL has fined Titans owner Bud Adams $250,000 for making an obscene gesture at Buffalo fans while celebrating Tennessee's victory over the Bills. Commissioner Roger Goodell notified Adams of the fine Monday, and league spokesman Greg Aiello said it is for conduct detrimental to the NFL. The Tennessee Titans won't be streaking their way into the postseason. They aren't giving up even if the playoff math is complicated at the least and improbable at best. Chris Johnson got his Terrell Owens' jersey Sunday without having to buy it through the receiver's Web site.
