Masters winner Trevor Immelman has set his sights on delivering four consistent rounds at this week’s U.S. PGA Championship after a season of fluctuating form. In April the 28-year-old became the first South African to triumph at Augusta National since Gary Player in 1978 but he has also missed seven cuts in 17 starts on the 2008 PGA Tour. “I need to try and find a bit more consistency for me to really feel like I can compete when the gun goes off,” Immelman told reporters at Oakland Hills... Trevor Immelman, ranked 29th in the world entering this week, is No. 1 at The Masters. Immelman shot a final-round 75, including a harrowing double bogey at the par-3 16th hole, but rallied with pars at 17 and 18 to clinch the green jacket. Trevor Immelman came to Augusta National to play. And man, did he ever play!!! Immelman led EVERY round. That's pretty impressive, especially considering the depth of talent in the field and that fact that Tiger Woods was also there. Immelman becomes the second South African to don the green jacket, following in the footsteps of Gary Player, who teed it up for the 51st time this past week. Even more impressive.
