Troy Polamalu

Steelers star safety Troy Polamalu will have his injured left knee re-examined Wednesday before practice, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, to determine if he can return for this weekend's crucial game against the Ravens.  

  Last night, we finally saw what we all wanted.  Some heart shown by the Pittsburgh Steelers team that had previously dropped five straight games to teams they should have beaten without a second thought. But, we also saw a lot of things that we didn't want to see. Things like Tyrone Carter making bonehead play after bonehead play.  Last night's game pretty much cemented my opinion that Carter does not need to be re-signed come this off...

Steelers safety Troy Polamalu didn't practice today and is unlikely to play Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens. Defensive end Travis Kirschke, who missed the last three games because of a strained calf, said he will play.
