Alan Ball, creator of Six Feet Under, returns to HBO with a new series based on the novel series Southern Vampire by Charlaine Harris. The series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic barmaid who finds comfort in the company of vampires since they have no brainwave activity for her to read.
Alexander Skarsgard is categorized as a “Vampire Hottie” and “Sexiest Bad Boy” in People ’s latest Sexiest Man Alive issue (with Johnny Depp on the cover).

True Blood stars Stephen Moyer , Alexander Skarsgard and Ryan Kwanten were honored last night, November 18, 2009 at the GQ Men of the Year Awards as “ The Men Who Saved HBO .” The event was held at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood, and while Stephen and Ryan are both busy with film project set outside of the country, Alex was able to attend the event to represent the men of True Blood at the Awards.
