Everyone will begin the 5K run in Veterans Park and run to Runners World.  Those who are up for it can also run in the St. Patrick's Day race, then back over to Veterans Park.  If you do the St. Patrick's Day Race, too, that is six miles for the run to Runners World and another three miles for the St. Patrick's Day race, for a total of nine miles.  It's a perfect run for marathoners, but may be a little long for half marathoners.  However, many of the half marathoners are still excited about it.

Here's a list of the distances the runners will be going for different levels:

* Beginners and Advanced Half - 8 miles

* Beginners Full, Intermediate Full, Zurich Marathon - 9 miles

* Advanced Full - 20 miles

Advanced marathoners will be adding on 11 to 14 miles depending on the route they take.  For the extra 11 miles, runners will have to run from Veterans Park south on the River Parks trail to the bears at 71st Street and back.  For the extra 14 miles, runners will have to run from Veterans Park south on the River Parks trail to the bears at 71st, cross the river on 71st, run north on the trail to 11th, cross back over the river and return to Veterans Park.
