Turk McBride Interviewed On Red Zone

I haven't seen anyone talk about Turk's interview yesterday.  I just went through it today on podcast and made a few notes on what was discussed.  I don't know if there is anything groundbreaking except for one thing he said.  When asked who has lost the most weight in the conditioning program his answer was D-Mac.  Wow...I hadn't heard anyone mention MacIntosh in that light yet.  If he has gotten into great shape and lost weight, maybe the knee troubles he was having last year won't be an issue and he'll be able to move better.  Who knows, maybe RT isn't going to be an issue for us this year (just a crazy thought!).

But anyway...here are the notes I made

Notes on Redzone Interview with Turk McBride

He was a receiver in high school, so he believes he has the footwork and athleticism  to be able to do the drops. The main thing now is just learning to read the formations and movement.

Says this scheme should be much more able to put pressure on the quarterback. Made a comment about there being  conflict in the team last year in working the scheme. He says this years scheme is less complicated and easier to understand, less thinking and more reacting.

Haley has a lot of fire and intensity, but he's not really a yeller. An "I said it so get it done" kind of guy.

Across the board guys are in better shape. Says he didn't know he even had a problem with conditioning, but things are different now.

Training camp is going to be a lot more physical and more running. There is a whole different look in peoples eyes..much more focused.

Says D-Mac has lost the most weight on the team.
