Tyler Farrar strong, but not strong enough for Stage 5

Tyler Farrar took tenth place in Stage 5 of the Tour de France today in a time of 4:30:50.  His overall combined time in the general classification is now 23:21:48.    Mark Cavendish won the stage in a sprint finish.  All of the top riders were awarded the same time in the GC with now gap.    This is Mark Cavendish's 11th stage win in his history of riding the Tour de France.  It was his first stage win of the 2010 Tour.     Fabian Cancellara of Saxo Bank still holds the yellow jersey and top...Read Full Story

Tyler Farrar, #3 in Stage 11 of the Tour de France

Stage 11 of the 2010 Tour de France took riders from Sisteron to Bourg-Les-Valence.  Tyler Farrar competed the ride in 04:42:29.  He ranked #3 for the stage. The peloton whizzes by on Stage 4. (Getty Images) Stage 4 of the 2010 Tour de France was a 94 mile ride through France that ended in Reims.  Tyler Farrar competed the ride in 03:34:55.  He ranked #23 for the stage. Farrar wins fifth stage of Tour of Spain

American Tyler Farrar won the fifth stage of the Tour of Spain on Wednesday in a sprint finish, while Belgium 's Philippe Gilbert retained the overall leader's red jersey.
