He currently resides in Destin, Florida with band mate Nick Wheeler. His fellow band mates, Mike Kennerty and Chris Gaylor, still reside in Oklahoma. Ritter owns his own clothing line, titled "Butter the Clothes". Ritter and his fellow Rejects performed at the 2006 MTV VMA's with "Move Along". The same night, they won the Moonman award for "Best Group Video". Starting on December 10, Ebay has been auctioniong a phone call with Tyson Ritter, in which the winner will recieve a phone call with Ritter. On December 10, the bidding price was $310.00. This auction will continue until December 18, 2006. The money raised will be used to benefit AIDS research.

The All-American Rejects singer/bassist Tyson Ritter has lost his voice, forcing his band to cancel two European dates in Paris, France and Cologne, Germany this week.
"I'm sorry Paris, I have to cancel tonight because my throat pussy aka 'mother', aka voice isn't comming [sic] out to play today," Ritter wrote on his Twitter on Oct. 21. "1st time in 3yrs.
