U.S. Climate Action Partnership (USCAP) is calling on congress to put a cap on carbon emissions, including the emissions from cars and trucks. How will USCAP's efforts impact the US automotive industry? Which auto manufacturers and automotive companies will side with USCAP in the effort?

General Motors joins U.S. Climate Action Partnership

General Motors has become the first automobile manufacturer to join the USCAP coalition.

Other major companies in USCAP include: GM, AIG, Alcan, Dow, Deere & Company, Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo and Shell.

The alliance aims for the creation of a firm cap to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
