By Ben Wojdyla After the miraculous crash landing of US Airways Flight 1549 , the downed Airbus A320 was pulled from the Hudson River. Saturday it was transported through the streets of New Jersey to a storage warehouse. Awesome. The whole world has seen the incredible photos of the airbus that lost power shortly after take-off and had to be ditched in the Hudson river. Incredibly--actually, miraculously--not a single life was lost. The plane was expertly glided over the GWB and onto the only available landing strip--the Hudson River--by veteran pilot and hero Chesley B. Sullenberger . Kudos also to the rest of the flight staff and the passengers for doing their part to avert an y further disasters. Photographer Stephen Mallon had exclusive access to the salvage operation that pulled Sully-piloted US Airways Flight 1549 out of the Hudson River. Now that he's erased all "US Airways" logos, he can show his pictures! Mallon got invited by the salvage company to be on board their barge while they hauled out the plane.
