Toby Gerhart rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns and No. 25 Stanford emphatically followed up its 2007 upset at the Coliseum by beating No. 11 Southern California on Saturday 55-21, the most points ever allowed by the Trojans. The BCS poll is wrapping up and it looks like it will between a SEC team and Big 12 team. the The winner from the Florida and Alabama game will most likely play Oklahoma if they can beat Missouri. I love to see Florida play Oklahoma, since both teams are currently playing great football. I’ll give the edge to Florida whose defense has been consistent while Oklahoma D gave up 41 points to Oklahoma State. As for the USC Trojans, the Oregon State lost sets up as possible match-up with Penn St in another Rose Bowl match-up. USC playing in the Rose Bowl for ... Read Full Story

Poor little Reggie Bush.  No sooner does he put in a stellar performance against the St Louis Rams than his knee gets bent out of shape and he misses the Bucs game as highlighted in yesterdays Reggie Bush injury status post. As Pete Carroll and the USC Trojans migrate down an unfamiliar path (the road to mediocrity), there are still definitive goals that must be accomplished, both for this season, and perhaps more importantly, for the next. The very same questions that, left unanswered, have resulted in this disappointing season, are those same ones that beg clarity as the Trojans move forward. Without these answers, Pete Carroll and his staff will find themselves...

The moniker says it all. Pete Carroll is a big-time gambler, a player; and we have been loving it all these years. The bravado and success have made him an American icon. Pete Carroll has set the bar at new heights with a run that is the envy virtually every other college football coach. However, gamblers don't "win forever," and this season PC and the USC Trojans lost, big time. Paragon, DC Trojan and most commentators on the Conquest...

Pete Carroll and the Trojans (but mostly Pete Carroll) get ripped for second big loss in three weeks. UCLA Coach Rick Neuheisel must be feeling pretty good about the Bruins' chances in next week's game after watching one of the worst performances by USC in 10 years against Stanford.
