The lefty went 4-10 with a 5.01 ERA, pitching through pain from May on. He finally landed on the disabled list and was shut down in September. Over Jimenez’s last eight starts, six have come against teams that were contending for a playoff spot in September. He has a 3-3 record in the six starts against contending teams.
