"Ultimate Relief," a charity "Ultimate Frisbee" tournament, raised more than $1,200 on July 19 at Pioneer Park in Mooresville for the 2008 flood victims of Central Indiana.

Ultimate Frisbee at Eldredge Park The Orleans Parks and Beaches department is sponsoring a pick-up Ultimate Frisbee game at Eldredge Park in Orleans under the lights. There is no fee for the pick up game; teams will be formed based on the number of participants.

CHICO — It was a typical hot summer day, but that didn't stop more than 500 Ultimate Frisbee players from once again taking over the fields at Community Park on Saturday.  

When most people think about playing Frisbee, they think of the free-spirited "Make love not war" crowd of the mid-sixties, or tossing a plastic disc on the beach. Although Ultimate (Frisbee) had its beginnings in a more lucid time, the sport has come a long way since then. It is no longer a...  

The Hingham Ultimate Frisbee Invitational Tournament is happening this weekend on the Hingham High School fields to benefit the Massachusetts Special Olympics. The tourney starts at 9 a.m. Saturday and continues Sunday  at 10 a.m., with the the finals expected to start about 2 p.m.  

ULTIMATE frisbee and cheerleading were just two of the activities that hundreds of youngsters from across Swindon took part in as part of National School Sports Week earlier this month.  

It was once called ultimate frisbee. Then it was referred to as frisbee golf. Now, the increasingly popular game has changed to disc golf.  

They're a self-described rag-tag team. There's 1980s enthusiast Brett Hurst, 16, who at last week's practice sported a tall, flat-top haircut and a cropped orange shirt.  

Ultimate Frisbee players ran and threw Frisbee discs on fields marked off by orange cones on Hinkson Creek Fields on Saturday. On one of the fields, two teams named Dumbledore’s Army and the BoCoMo Bandits played in the open division with the score remaining close throughout the game.  

Since the mid 90’s, the Hingham Invitational has been pared up with the Special Olympics of Massachusetts, donating any and all proceeds received to the worthy charity.
