25 Hour Day?

From:  pafundi.com
~~~~ We had some storms last night and this morning, Anika came running into the bedroom last night and hid in the bathroom at the first sound of thunder. She is so afraid of the storms. We received over an inch of rain so it was a good thing I put down the Scotts on the yard yesterday. Today was busy, with doctor appointments and everything else that usually goes with Monday’s at our house. ~~~~ KILLING FIELDS Dith Pran, the Cambodian-born journalist whose harrowing tale of... Old Coots and Underage Drinking
I know it is a real tired old argument—it's just that it is so compelling. If eighteen year olds are old enough to get their brains blown out in Iraq , then they are old enough to have a beer . In any logical society it would be a no brainer —and that would be the end of the story. Either let them booze it up-- or take away suffrage, the right to marry, to contract, to get killed in foreign wars—in other words, all the trappings of adulthood . One of the most absurd things I used to see in... Read Full Story
A powerful billboard urging parents to help stop underage drinking depicts a baby suckling a beer bottle to drive the message home. The caption says, "There is no such thing as safe underage drinking ." What do you think of this ad? Is it powerful, or does the image of the baby and beer bottle go too far? Read Full Story
Zero Tolerance for Underage Drinking and Driving
From:  defensedrive.net
Each state has a “zero tolerance” of any statute. Teacher Accused Of Giving Teens Beer
DANBURY, Texas -- An alleged teen drunken driving incident led deputies to a teacher's home, KPRC Local 2 reported Friday. Brazoria County sheriff's deputies said two teenagers, who were stopped on suspicion of drunken driving, told them they drank alcohol at teacher Robin Ater's home in Danbury. "At the residence, we spoke to the homeowner and found beer cans and a receipt for beer bought earlier in the day," investigator Darrell Collins said. Ater, 52, told police she bought the beer... My Dilemma – Old enough to (supposedly) know better, Young enough not to have a clue.
I’m 20 not 21… So I can’t drink. Even if I could I wouldn’t really want to. Socially maybe but even then I think I would have more fun watching someone else look like a doof. j/k. Anyway my dilemma is this: a business friend of mine invited me to an event that historically has a lot of drinking. It has a ‘cash bar’ in a sort of upscale restaurant/bar. I’m trying to determine if I can legally go or if they card you at the door. I know how to get around not drinking – just don’t, pick up some... Read Full Story
Cutting Down on Teen Driving Accidents
Through this system, teen drivers gradually earn full driving privileges through a series of stages. In the first stage, adolescents are... Read Full Story
If you're so drunk that you have your 13-year old drive for you, better make sure he's sober
CLIO, Mich. - A police officer checking on a truck that got stuck in the mud at a city park was startled to find a 13-year-old boy behind the wheel. The officer also was surprised that the boy appeared to be drunk. So did the teen's father, who was riding in the front seat. He told police that he had turned over the driving duties to his son because he'd had too much to drink. Open containers of beer and liquor were found in the vehicle, said Clio Police Chief James McLellan. "(The boy) even... Read Full Story
