I decided to go for a walk this weekend and was considering doing the short Spalding Wheel (approx 4.7m) but ended up doing the walk around Moulton village again. I've now done them both twice so I might do the Spalding one again soon and post up some pictures of that one but in the meantime I took some more pictures as I was going around today and I have posted them here. I just got back from doing my circuit around Moulton which took me 80 mins to do the 4 miles. I took some pictures on the way around so conceivably I could have done it quicker. One thing to bare in mind with this walk is that Loop Lane/Shivean Gate doesn't have any paths and nor does Clapton Gate to Bakestraw Gate. I just happened to be coming through Spalding at around 6.15pm this evening and as I had my camera with me I decided to stop on the opposite side of the river and wait for the Pumpkin Parade to come through. Now the light was getting pretty dark and even with my camera set to 1600 ASA the lens was still open for quite a while which considering I hadn't had my tripod was going to make getting a clear shot nigh on impossible. After having a walk around the mini Leisure Wheel in Spalding for the last two weeks (4.7miles ) I have decided to walk around Moulton for this week. My walk starts on Station Round and goes up the High Street towards the Church and then turns into Church Lane (you could walk through the church yard for this or go via the road). The 51st Spalding Flower Parade took place today which was quite an achievement as it had been cancelled by committee last year. Fortunately a new committee was formed to organise the parade and with the use of some of the float designs from the last 50 years and some enthusiatic locals the parade happened and given the lack of time that the new committee had compared to usual then it is a credit that it was up to the standard of the last few years. Last Saturday I attended a Photography course that was held at Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough and was run by PM-iMAGES . We arrived at 9.15am for a cup of tea or coffee prior to formalities starting at 9.30am.
