Awad al-Qiq was the headmaster at the Rafah Boys' Preparatory School, a United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) run elementary school for boys in Gaza. At night the headmaster, who doubled as a science teacher, worked as the lead rocket builder for the Palestinian terrorist group, Islamic Jihad. The UN has covered up claims that its troops in Democratic Republic of Congo gave arms to militias and smuggled gold and ivory, the BBC has learned.

The allegations, based on confidential UN sources, involve Pakistani and Indian troops working as peacekeepers.
