Lightning strikes twice. The Flyers have traded the rights to scoring enigma Vaclav Prospal to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for the 7th overall pick in the upcoming 2008 NHL Entry Draft. "Vinny really didn't express much of an interest in coming back and playing for us next season," said General Manager Holmgren in making the announcement. "His heart is elsewhere." The Lightning and Flyers kicked off the trade frenzy tonight with the bolts sending Vaclav Prospal to Philadelphia in exchange for Alexandre Picard and a conditional pick in the 2009 draft. Pretty good deal for both sides, really. The Lightning aren’t going anywhere this season, and the Flyers need some help. Prospal is skilled at wing and center, and should fit in nicely with their current group. Picard adds excellent potential to the Lightning’s defensive corps, as he is currently second in scoring for the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL.
