The 2009 United Way of Crookston fund-raising campaign is underway, and each Friday the Times will be running updates and other pertinent information submitted by local United Way leaders.  

If there's an unofficial slogan for the local United Way amid the sudden economic crunch, it's "more please" -- as in donors, money and workplaces taking part.
