Vicki Lawrence

Kristen Koehler, director of Troy University's Da vis Theatre for the Performing Arts, was "a huge fan of the 'Carol Burnett Show'" when she was growing up. She was also familiar with the variety show's spinoff, "Mama's Family," derived from castmate Vicki Lawrence's portrayal of the blue-haired, buxom character Thelma Harper.  

Vicki Lawrence, a 12 year veteran of "The Carol Burnett Show" and later "Mama's Family" will bring her one-woman show to the Thrasher-Home Center in Jacksonville. The show plays tonight, October 16 at 7:30pm. The performance combines stand-up comedy, music and portrayals of her character, Mama.
