Man Arrested For Wearing Naked Victoria Beckham T-Shirt

Skin cancer awareness activists, take note: It may be a good idea to keep campaigns PG from now on. A man in Dubai named Raffi Nernekian was arrested this week for wearing a T-shirt featuring Victoria Beckham nude, with the slogan "Protect the Skin You're In" and her hands covering the scandalous parts.

The shirt was created by designer Marc Jacobs as part of his campaign to raise money for a skin cancer research project at NYU. In addition to Posh Spice, celebs like Naomi Campbell and Winona Ryder also bared all for the cause.

But the charitable spirit was lost on a man who approached Nernekian at a bakery to complain about the shirt. Apparently Nernekian, who worked for a local Jacobs agent as a brand manager, got the tee from his brother, who bought it on a recent trip to New York. Nernekian went to change clothes, but when he came back police were waiting to arrest him.

The law in the United Arab Emirates states that "clothing shall not indecently expose parts of the body, be transparent, or display obscene or offensive pictures and slogans." As a result, Nernekian is now serving a month of jail time for offending public decency. When he's released, he'll be deported (even though he's lived in Dubai for five years, he's originally from Lebanon).

Harsh. We're guessing PETA doesn't advertise in Dubai.
