It is said that as a NATION at WAR, MEMORIAL DAY has become even more poignant. As new tears, are shed for those who have been lost.
For those of you who knew them I can not propose to tell you how to memorialize them. Other than as a man maybe no more than flesh and blood, Then surely- That which makes flesh and blood a soldier, is no more than a man- and tears.
Without tears a soldier has never been called to fight or die. Without tears a soldier has never lived. Only through the shedding of tears will a soldier live on.
For those of you who now are soldiers- You, must shed tear. Not only for those who have fallen around you, but for those who fell before you, and all those yet to fall. You can not be shamed for shedding tears for those you fell.
The rest of you who maybe, because you did not know him/her personally, find it hard to shed tear for them. It’s simple really, as you look at their name. Remember that they were born of a mother and father just like everyone else. That someone took pride in their first steps and words. As they were children once that they laughed and played. Did they have a favorite toy? Maybe a dog? Remember how they fell off their bike, or tripped and scrapped their knee? How they would wake when the story stopped. They just couldn’t seem to wait to get their first car, and sometimes even their first ticket. You see, you did Know them.
THIS IS NOT a day to DEBATE the MERITS for this WAR !!!
But a day to mourn those who gave their all in this and ALL WARS! To SHED TEAR- for a SOLDIER.
For those, whose time I Shared. Welcome Home Brothers .
