CORAL SPRINGS — Panthers left wing Ville Peltonen is expected to miss at least a week after suffering a broken right foot in Saturday’s 8-4 win over Atlanta. While coach Peter DeBoer said he figured Peltonen would be out “a couple of weeks, anyway,” Peltonen himself said the injury wasn’t as serious as first expected and that he hoped to return next week. Peltonen, 35, missed 24 games last season because of a broken left foot. In both instances, he was injured when hit by an opponent’s shot.
