1982 GIBSON LES PAUL CUSTOM SILVERBURST

Info:   Here is my 1982 Gibson Les Paul Custom Silverburst with all black hardware. This has been one of my most favorite guitars I have ever owned. It truly pains me to lose it but times are tuff. The tone from this guitar is like no other. I am a professional player and have used many types of guitars but I am a  Les Paul man at heart and itâ??s the best and most interesting sounding Paul I have ever owned. It has a certain growl that is unmatched. I have many other Les Pauls and they donâ??t come close to the signature tone of the Silverburst. The original Silverburst customs were only made from 1979 to 1984. So donâ??t think the new reissues are the same. There not by any means. They do not have the signature tone of the originals. I have heard the silver paint has metallic flecks in it that give these guitars the tone you cant get from any other guitar. I could be wrong but it doesnâ??t matter. THEY SOUND AMAZNG!!! Adam Jones of TOOL has helped bring these classic guitars back into the spotlight with the originality of his MEEEAAAANNN tone. And he couldnâ??t have achieved it without the Silverburst. I have recorded with this guitar many times and its very easy to get the kind of TOOL-esc type tones. But it is not limited to that sound. I have used it to record all kinds of music and it bring a certain quality to the recording you just cant get from any other Paul or guitar for that matter. It plays like butter. The neck is fast and fluid. And I just recently had it professionally setup to maximize its playability. This a truly amazing guitar and I REALLY wish I didnt have to sell it but what can you do. Get yourself an amazing piece of guitar history!! The original Silverburst are getting harder to find and are going up in price so donâ??t wait!!! You WIIL NOT be disappointed.OK, lets get to the features of this beast. First thing first, it has SECOND stamped on the back of the head stock. This is due to the paint spatter on the headstock. The black fade was messed up in certain places on the headstock which makes them have to label it a second. I called my friend at Gibson to confirm, which he did. I have included pictures for you to see what I am talking about. BUT THIS IN NO WAY HAS ANY BEARING ON THE CONSTRUCTION OR QUALITY OF THE GUITAR. THE BUILD OF THE GUITAR IS PERFECT!!! Just the paint on the headstock is a little messed up. But WHO CARES!!! The guitar is getting quite old now so the it has the usual dings, dents, scratches, belt buckle rash, etcâ?¦ that a guitar of this lineage would have.
