PPP Looked At Hypothetical Kaine-McDonnell Match-Up Richmond , VA ( 1140wrva.com ) – Governor Tim Kaine (D) would potentially be looking a tough re-election fight if he were allowed to run again, according to Public Policy Polling. PPP finds, from its most recent poll, that Kaine trails Bob McDonnell (R) 51% to 43%. McDonnell currently leads State Senator Creigh Deeds (D) 52% to 40%. Virginia is a weird state, and I don’t just say that because I lived there for three years. Virginia is weird because they hold major elections on odd numbered years. As a result, the Gubernatorial Election is going to be held in November of 2009 and, assuming Mike Huckabee endorses Bob McDonnell, it will be the first true test of HuckPAC’s newly formed National Volunteer Team.
