In the Orange Bowl last night Kansas used strong defense and special teams to out-Beamer-ball the Virginia Tech Hokies. They sprinted out to a quick 17 point lead and held off a late charge by the Hokies to win. Even though I had VT as a pick in my bowl pool, I was happy to see Kansas win and wrap up a magical season for a school that’s better known for basketball.

The #23 ranked Bulter Bulldogs outlasted the young Virginia Tech Hokies winning 84-78 in a thrilling game seven of the 30th annual Great Alaska Shootout. Senior Mike Green played forty-plus minutes and came up huge when it counted in overtime, scoring ten points and matching the entire VT output during the extra frame.
