Virtua Fighter 5

Virtua Fighter fans in Japan rejoice, because today finally marks the official launch of the Virtua Fighter 5 R upgrade in game centers around the country. The considerable upgrade to the series brings with it one new character -- karate expert Jean Kujo -- and sees the return of an old favorite, sumo wrestler Taka-Arashi, last seen in Virtua Fighter 3. TOKYO -- Sega can't very well let Capcom and their frequent Street Fighter IV location tests get all the attention, and so the company was holding one for its latest update to the Virtua Fighter series. Sega has released a patch for the online-enabled Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5 making the title more like the latest versions of the Virtua Fighter 5 arcade machine. The most important change comes in the form of bugfixes and changes to the online matchmaking system to make finding an opponent easier.
