Curious to see what Virtual Console game releases Japanese users are getting this month? Nintendo has revealed the full list, and fans of the Super Nintendo Super Mario RPG will be happy to see it included. The game, developed by Square, was the final Mario game on the console. Three games combined for Wii Ware and Virtual Console today. The most interesting-looking of them all is Toki Tori , a puzzle game starring a pear-shaped chicken and a bunch of boxes and stuff. I'll clean out the fridge later this week and download it, although you'll have to wait a little while for my impressions. Can you hold out? Can you save your $10, or is the tiny chicken's adorable face going to convince you to drop your cash with no knowledge whatsoever of whether this game is any good? Also arriving today is Ubisoft's $10 shooter Protothea (don't have nearly enough top-down ... Read Full Story

One of the most popular early Nintendo games was Donkey Kong. I remember spending hours playing that one! If you did as well then this ... Read Full Story

As per topic: The original (and best) Mario Kart has finally hit the Wii's Virtual Console for 800 points. I know there's been "homebrew" versions floating around for a while, but it's nice to see the original be made officially available. Also coming soon is SNES Pilotwings and the original Boy & His Blob (NES). promoted forum item

I had no idea there was a Sega Master System version of this, but after looking at YouTube videos it actually looks a lot like the Genesis version. I'm a little surprised that they'd rerelease this since Sega didn't acknowledge the game for the longest time after its release. I guess publicity changes things... #virtualconsole spiderweb1986

A PEGI rating reveals some form of intent to bring the Michael Jackson licensed game to the service So, weve had some unlikely titles hit the Virtual Console already, but from new evidence it appears were in for another one. The classic Michael Jacksons Moonwalker for Sega Genesis has picked up a PEGI rating in Europe. While it wasnt really a good game as such, quirky licensed titles are always welcome on the service. We have no idea when...
