Vivica A. Fox Is 'No Friend of the Psychic Friends Network'

If you ever find yourself tuning into infomercials at 3 a.m., you may have noticed a familiar face advertising for the Psychic Friends Network. No, not Dionne Warwick - this time it's Vivica A. Fox getting in touch with her supernatural side. 

In the ad, Fox says:
"At the Psychic Friends Network you can ask your psychic anything you want - from your love life to your career to anything in between. Mmmhmm - I know I have." Maybe that last part is a stretch. Fox has released a statement claiming that - although she appears to have filmed the two-minute bit right in front of the PFN logo and read the lines that explicitly mention the network - she's "no friend of the Psychic Friends Network."  See for yourself:
In the statement, Fox claims that the organization "is using her unauthorized likeness, footage, voice and photographs as an endorsement of their service." She's calling for them to cease and desist immediately.

The whole debacle begs the obvious question: Why did she film it in the first place if she wasn't going to authorize its use? Maybe there is a damn good video editor over there at the Psychic Friends Network.

Frankly, with or without an economic recession, plenty of us have done things we're not proud of to make a buck. Right, Ben Affleck? Remember Gigli?
