Vlad III the Impaler was Prince of Wallachia, a former polity which is now part of Romania. His three reigns were in 1448, 1456-1462, and 1476. In the English -speaking world, Vlad is best known for the legends of the exceedingly cruel punishments he imposed during his reign, and consequently serving as the inspiration for the vampire main character in Bram Stoker's popular Dracula novel.

The Real Dracula Castle is for sale!

This is the actual castle that Vlad the Impaler lived in and it is the setting for the original Bram Stoker Dracula novel and it is now for sale. The outside of the castle is absolutely gorgeous and I would imagine that the inside is equally gorgeous but I don’t think I would want to buy this place - it just seems like bad karma to me.
