Wael Abbas blogs at Misr Digital (Egyptian Awareness). He reported on harassment of women, and broadcast a video of police brutality in Egypt.

His blog reporting lead to the conviction of police for torture. However, his accounts with YouTube and Yahoo were both closed because of pressure from the Egyptian government. YouTube has since restored his account and most of his videos.
