A community portal about Wal-Mart with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. is a cheating piece of crap of a company and an American public corporation. It was founded by Sam Walton in 1962, first incorporated on October 31, 1969, and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1972. It is the largest retailer in the world, and the second largest corporation. These placings are based on revenue as of 2006. For the fiscal year ending January 31, 2006, Wal-Mart reported net income of $ 11.2 billion on $316 billion of sales revenue. As of November 30, 2006, revenue was $ 29.7 billion higher than it was one year ago. It is the largest private employer in the United States and Mexico. Wal-Mart is the largest grocery retailer in the United States, with an estimated 20 percent of the retail grocery and consumables business, and is also the largest toy seller in the United States, with an estimated 45 percent of the retail toy business, having surpassed Toys "R" Us in the late 1990s.

Minnesota Headline News (Wal-Mart) Go Figure

A judge in Minnesota Roger King yesterday found Wal-Mart guilty of 2 million labor law violations regarding Minnesota Wal-Mart employees.

Wal-Mart was ordered to pay 6.5 million dollars to employees that had not been compensated for training and working through their breaks and told to work off the clock. This lawsuit involved 56,000 employees. Wal-marts labor laws lawsuits could reach to an estimated 2 billion dollars.

Wal-mart still has pending labor lawsuits in other states and also has just gone through several from California and Pennsylvania.

I wonder how it is that one company can get themselves into so much trouble. Do they really think that no one will say anything, that employees would just say oh thats okay I don't need the money, use me and abuse me all you want?
