Sarah Palin - Troopergate: Special Counsel Has Email and Phone Records That PROVE Palin Pressured Commissioner Monegan

It has been confirmed that the State of Alaska has hired a private lawyer to represent Sarah Palin in an investigation that she abused her powers as Alaska’s governor.  Attorney Thomas Van Flein is representing Palin and other members of the her office involved in the probe.

Palin is being investigated by Alaska’s legislature over allegations arising from the sacking of the state’s public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, who was fired earlier this year. It’s alleged that Monegan was removed because he refused to fire a state trooper who was the governor’s ex-brother-in-law.

Steve Branchflower is the special counsel hired by the Alaska legislature to investigate the case.

It is expected that Palin and other officials will give fixed dates for depositions later this month by September 5.

Palin has consistently denied that she put pressure on Monegan to fire the trooper involved, describing the allegations as “outrageous” and “false.”

Special counsel Branchflower has revealed that there are more than 20 documented calls, emails and other communications from Palin’s office to employees at Monegan’s Department of Public Safety that implicates Palin and her staff of putting pressure on Monegan to fire her brother-in-law.
