Oprah Winfrey talked to the children of Wanda Barzee, the woman convicted of aiding Brian David Mitchell in the kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart. The picture they painted was not pretty. Three of her daughters and one of her sons appeared on the afternoon talk show. Wanda Barzee was sentenced to 15 years in prison for her role in the kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart in 2002, according to SLtrib.com. She and her husband kept the girl captive for 9 months, and after much back-and-forth about Barzee's mental capacity she has finally been sentenced. Wanda Barzee Pleads Guilty to Elizabeth Smart's Kidnapping

Wanda Barzee, the woman accused of kidnapping Elizabeth Smart in 2002, plead guilty to her charges today. She also agreed to testify against her estranged husband Brian David Mitchell in exchange for a reduced, 15-year sentence. Barzee and Mitchell were both indicted on the same federal charges of kidnapping and unlawful transportation of a minor across state lines to engage in sexual activity, along with various state charges.
