The upcoming, free 1.5 patch for PlayStation 3 shooter Warhawk will make life a bit easier for the newbie population. Key to the game's additions (revealed by Warhawk director Dylan Jobe) is a tutorial mode designed to ease new players into the shooter. Previously, new Warhawk fans were dumped unceremoniously into the game's online combat without so much as a "good luck." Along with the tutorial missions, the patch gives Warhawk support for custom soundtracks, new paint schemes and a full complement of trophies -- 56 in all. The Warhawk v1.5 patch will include the much anticipated trophy support with over 50 trophies available to collect for tasks such as playing the perfect deathmatch (1st place and with no deaths), hosting a game for 4 hours, and using a tank to shoot down Warhawks. Some trophies will require the booster packs but to get a platinum trophy you just need to get all 44 of the basic Warhawk trophies, you do not need to buy the booster packs to get the platinum trophy. Warhawk 1.4 update will be released on July 16th (10:00am GMT) The update includes: - 2 new games modes (Hero and Collection) - Quick Join - Improved Mini Map - Rank Updates (mainly to make it easier to achieve ranks and medals) - Min Rank option for servers - Reduced spawn rate of TOW missile (depending on no. of players in game) - Hint for selecting different respawn points - Home game launching update. You'll remember when we told you about Warhawk v1.3; one of the new features was to stop people from switching sides in a ranked game. Well back on the 7th April, Dylan Jobe wrote a frank and honest assessment of that change on the US PlayStation Forum. And he admitted - they got it wrong.
