Using quick weight loss diets is part of our culture. However, such a dramatic change in diet and nourishment can be hard on your body. A quick weight loss diet lasting longer than a week is not recommended for anyone.
A quick weight loss diet should not be followed indefinitely. After two weeks, your body stops responding to the diet, even if you still feel like the diet is effective. Even though you will notice results, these diets are not good for your body long term.
If you stop eating altogether, it may actually be more difficult for you to lose weight. If you have a lot of weight you want to drop, losing weight over time becomes more difficult when you do this. Therefore, while it is tempting to drastically limit your intake when dieting, it will not result in long term weight loss and is the reason why these types of quick weight loss diets are only able to be used for a short duration of time.
It’s not wise to start eating everything in site after getting results through your quick weight loss diet. But that would be a big mistake. Now is the time to begin eating healthy and balanced meals so that your new healthy weight is maintained. Remember that hydration is also a key factor. You may find that drinking water will help you to deal with hunger pangs.
Take it easy on yourself physically after you are done dieting. Your body will once again have to get used to the change, even though it felt fine while you were dieting. Your body will experience added stress due to this. The adjustment to the recommended intake of calories for your body size should be a gradual one. This way you will be developing a good eating behavior to stick with, instead of an on again off again regimen of dieting and not dieting.
A quick weight loss diet can be a smart way to lose a few pounds quickly when you start a weight loss program. Adding moderate exercise helps you see results even faster. Even when on a quick weight loss diet, it’s important to remember to eat a healthy amount of food.
