Sometimes the easiest way to eliminate a bad habit is to substitute it with something else. When it comes to snacking, a great strategy to control it is to continue it, with negative calorie foods. These foods use up more calories than they contain, and very often provide other important nutritional qualities. If you already have bad snacking habits, then you’re lucky because you won’t need to remind yourself to eat these foods, you can just concentrate on switching what you’re eating.
Obviously, you don’t want to eat only these foods because your body wouldn’t get the nourishment you need. But as a method to eliminating unhealthy foods while simultaneously adding natural foods to your diet, it is great.
Here is a list of some of the best “negative calorie foods”:
- Celery
- Oranges
- Strawberries
- Tangerines
- Grapefruit
- Carrots
- Apricots
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Cucumbers
- Watermelon
- Cauliflower
- Apples
- Zucchini
