ENGLEWOOD - When Denver Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard gave a needy family some money last Christmas, he didn’t think it would end up changing a young boy’s life. Woodyard still doesn’t seem to grasp the impact of his generosity.  

There's a program matching troubled children with adults who can make their holiday a little brighter and it's changed at least one teenager's life. Last year, the Tennyson Center for Abused and Neglected Children asked Wesley Woodyard of the Denver Broncos for some last-minute Christmas gifts for a child who had been overlooked. The two have stuck together one year later.  

Wesley Woodyard’s brother is currently working in Iraq alongside the U.S. Military, so it comes as no surprise that Woodyard would have an affinity for the troops.
