You have about 3 million sweat glands!  What's more... the sweat glands in your armpits and groin produce oilier sweat, which has an adult odor.

Sweating plays an important role in the body because it helps maintain body temperature by cooling you down. When you're hot and you sweat, the sweat evaporates and cools off your body.

The type of sweating which is not normal is from primary hyperhidrosis, when an individual sweats continuously and excessively - even when the temperature is cold and there is no physiologic need to sweat. For example, you are in an air conditioned room with a T-shirt and you develop big rings of underarm sweat (not normal). www.EliminateSweating.com

It is normal to sweat when we exercise. It is not normal to sweat when we are sitting in an air conditioned office and we experience excessive sweating from the underarms, palms, feet or any combination of the above. The question you asked about sweating is very generic - but I will address primary hyperhidrosis alone as it is the type of hyperhidrosis that is treatable. Secondary hyperhidrosis is due to an underlying medical problem and when that medical problem is treated, it is likely that the hyperhidrosis will go away. What differentiates secondary hyperhidrosis from primary hyperhidrosis is that secondary hyperhidrosis is sweating ... Read Full Story
