Since 1995 I have carried an organ donation card in my wallet. In the event that I die, it legally gives doctors permission to use my organs. All of them except my eyes. Welsh classical singer, Charlotte Church, is pleading for organ donors to come forward to save the life of a 20-month-old baby, Finlay Careless, who needs a liver transplant. Singer Charlotte, 22, said: “I’m definitely going to help when a baby like this can benefit so much. Scott Meis, Campaign Manager for Donate Life Illinois, contacted me with the final results of the “I Am. Are You?” Campus Challenge. The challenge was a statewide organ/tissue donor registration drive competition between Illinois colleges and universities. Northern Illinois University won the contest with 484 registrations.
