I've been lucky enough to obtain Wii Sports Resort a week in advance, so have had a few days to try it out. Here's my first ever review! One sentence summary (if you're short on time): Resort gives you back 80-90% of that feeling you got when you first played Wii Sports. If you loved Wii Sports, you'll love this. This is just more of a quick going over review then a full review and also only played as a single player and not multi which is where this game would shine. You start by skydiving down from an airplane getting you used to the wiimote and motion plus. Controls are easy, you hold the mote out and move it down to travel faster straight to glide etc etc, everything is easy to pick up and has instructions which you can skip, apart from the first 3 minute video you have to watch to show you how... There are 12 different sports games to enjoy on Wii Sports Resort. The first one is Swordplay and you hold the Wii Remote in both hands as though it were a sword, with the buttons facing you. When attacking with your sword the wider you swing your Wii Remote movements, the more powerful your blow will be and if you are lucky you might hit your opponent off the edge into the water which is great fun. I received my game today and In my opinion, most of the games aren't too great, and there's not as much atmosphere to encourage me to play! I got into the table tennis, but that's my fave on the original wii sports, but I got bored of the other games really quick.. It's a shame as i was looking forward to it! well with all the hype i just had to go and get it. great game aweome playablilty. well its a great buy. but all the hype about wii motion plus. personally i didnt notice the difference. it supposed to super accurate just the same as wii sports. just another nintendo gimmick. you get an anoyingly large wii remote to hold when playing your games. shame you cant take it off, and play them without it. i would like to try wii motion plus with Ea Sports Grand Slam, just to see if thats any... For the last few months I've become a tad disillusioned with my Wii, just as I did with my PS3. Having played computer games from 1983 (starting with a Commodore Vic 20), I can only reason that after 26 years, I'm beginning to finally get bored playing them. I really don't know. Does what it says on the tin! Highly recommended. A great family fun game. Wii Sports was great (and still is) but this is the icing on the cake. WELL DONE NINTENDO WII! You also get some snazy new clothes for the Mii characters. It almost feels like you are on holiday. Credit crunch, what credit crunch, this is the holiday to go on this year!! Having played Grand Slam Tennis, I wasn't enthralled with the motion plus. It's a good game, but just isn't 1:1 motion. I later learned that GST wasn't meant to fully utilise the motion plus. It was designed superbly, then dumbed down right before release so that lazy people and idiots could still play. Learning that horrendous fact, I got my hopes up about motion plus again.
