Will Ferrell is Not Buying a British Pub

Somehow, a rumor went around this week that the actor was planning to buy a British pub, but he has no idea where such "news" came from. And, it's just not true, reports Gossip Cop, who says Will "has no idea" why anyone would think so.

Sources were reporting that the Anchorman star wanted to buy a traditional English inn close to the west London home of his favorite soccer team, Chelsea, and believed the place would provide great movie-making inspiration.

The 42-year-old actor supposedly said: "All the Chelsea players would be welcome, but I wouldn't want a celebrity place, it would be an old-fashioned pub. I would be hands on. I could get some great material off all the regulars. I am sure there would be a film in it."

Will also reportedly said that, while some American bars try to emulate the cozy pub atmosphere, you have to go to the UK to find the real thing. He was supposedly quoted as saying: "Over-priced fish and chips does not constitute a real British pub."

The funnyman, who has 2 sons with wife Viveca Paulin and is expecting a 3rd in January, will likely be slamming back the drinks then, but it'll probably be a little closer to home.
