Rated R
Is a smart comedy better
than a dumb comedy? There are great examples of both, and even
Will Ferrell , the star of
Step Brothers , shows up on both lists.
Stranger Than Fiction is a smart comedy with a complex premise and an
almost poetic ending. Talladega Nights is a dumb comedy in which
Ferrell, at one point, learns to face his fear of getting behind the wheel
again by driving... Read Full Story
I liked Ferrel & Reilly as the racing team in "Talladega Nights" but this was even better. The physical comedy was outstanding and the acting itself was pitch perfect. Many critics commented on how well they did given what they had to work with, but I think the script was excellent. Some of the lines were brilliant, but you really have to give the actors credit for improvising. After Ferrell revealed his singing talents when he sang "Let's Give 'Em Something to Talk About", when Reilly... Read Full Story

Like Wedding Crashers, Knocked Up and The 40-Year Old Virgin before it, Step Brothers is the latest in the trend of comedies where title alone sells you on the movie. All you needed to know was that Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are adults who become step brothers after their parents get married... Read Full Story

Will Ferrell - whose
Step Brothers is in theaters next weekend - is
about to battle someone even closer in an upcoming comedy: Himself. He'll play a
guy with dual personalities in the completely-unrelated-to-Batman 2-Face. The
script, according to
The Hollywood Reporter , has been sitting around
at Sony for a while, and comes from
Hancock co-writer
Vince Gilligan .
As you'd expect, since this is a comedy, and it ought to be
very broad, considering the subject matter... Read Full Story
Step Brothers is in theaters tomorrow, but this clip is not. It's a deleted
scene that appears to take place the night Brennan ( Will Ferrell ) and Dale ( John
C. Reilly ) stop their fighting and realize they're probably best friends.
The version of this scene that appears in the movie is more over the top and
has a higher, bigger laugh quotient. If anything, this clip represents a much
quieter type of comedy than anything you'll find in Step Brothers , which is
already an award... Read Full Story
We should've known years ago when
Will Ferrell appeared as a character named
Marshal Willenholly in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back that this day would
come. Personally, I'm glad we're getting a big screen
Land of the Lost , and I'm supposing it will be
a send-up of a show that seriously needs it.
I mean, come on, did you ever see Sleestaks shoot those
bows and arrows? Really good if you're hunting something 16 inches away. And
Chaka? You can't take this stuff seriously. Anybody... Read Full Story

Will Farrell talked with Parade recently and told them some great parenting advice on how to raise children…
“Don’t let them play in old abandoned refrigerators. Let’s see, what else? If you’re flying with your children, it’s better to book them on the same flight as you and not on a separate one just so they can have more leg room or something. Travel as a family.”
