Non-grape wines are called fruit wine or country wine. Other products made from starch based materials, such as barley wine, rice wine, are more similar to beers. The English word wine and its equivalents in other languages are protected by law in many jurisdictions.

After a friend brought one over to share a nice napa wine they just brought from napa valley, I had to get one for myself. I now use it with all newly opened wine's, but especially I use it with my Homemade wine. It just opens the wine up instantly! What a different taste now. We've witnessed this gadget many times on our trips to Napa but haven't really purchased one because of the price. Well I finally broke down and purchased one from Amazon for about $5-$10 cheaper than the wineries. It works great and makes a big difference in your wine. You can take a wine that makes you pucker up a little bit and this will mellow it out nicely. Great product that works well.

This is great for the wine enthusiast. As most wine Connoisseur's know, wine tastes better when it is left to breathe before consuming for about an hour after opening.
