Ryder began her screen debute in Lucas playing a teenage girl with a crush on the film's title character, she had what many consider her breakout role in Beetlejuice as a goth teenage named Lydia. She continued with many roles as angst ridden teenagers, including an acclaimed performance as Veronica Sawyer in the black comedy cult classic Heathers.
Wynona Ryder teaming up with the writer who did Heathers is a cool proposition. Well if it were 1992. But re-teaming two decades after introducing the concept of a dark comedy upon teenagers doesn’t have the same cachet had it not taken so long.
