Ryder began her screen debute in Lucas playing a teenage girl with a crush on the film's title character, she had what many consider her breakout role in Beetlejuice as a goth teenage named Lydia. She continued with many roles as angst ridden teenagers, including an acclaimed performance as Veronica Sawyer in the black comedy cult classic Heathers.
For their Halloween movie, Cigarette Burns Cinema have selected Heathers, the 80s classic starring fully paid-up Brat Pack alumni Winona Ryder and Christian Slater.
